Who We Are

For anyone who has ever weathered the storm of cancer or has been the support for someone suffering from cancer and undergoing treatment, life takes on a whole new meaning. After being the shoulder for a loved one undergoing two years of chemotherapy and radiation, I had a calling to create beautiful, homemade gifts for individuals most in need of encouragement. The journey started in the stark halls and rooms of hospitals visiting with cancer patients who were undergoing chemotherapy while our own loved one fought the same heartbreaking battle.

My desire is to give back to the community with gift giving, as a portion of all proceeds are put toward items being delivered to local hospitals and other charities. Occasionally items are sold on Etsy.com to raise the funds to continue to provide materials needed for these gifts of love to those in need of appreciation, hope, and encouragement.  Anyone who has a sewing machine knows all too well how much fabric alone costs nowadays! 

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

I began Naila Creations following my aunt's diagnosis of lung cancer in 2015. Walking into the treatment room once a week and seeing the faces of those fighting for their lives placed the need in our hearts to come bearing gifts as often as we could to bring even the slightest bit of joy and hope to those who possessed so little of it. It gave my aunt a sense of excitement to see us bring cheer to others fighting along side her. Every week, one less beautiful face was present and everyone had the hope in their hearts it was remission and not loss. In our hearts, we wept for those who lost their fight and rejoiced with those who won it. We always said silent prayers for the others still fighting in the room. The gifts brought much needed warmth, encouragement, and even lots of fun discussion on what we made and how we made it.

We fought side by side with my aunt through two long years of chemotherapy treatments and radiation, until she finally lost her battle in 2017. Her legacy lives on through our goals, as we desire to continue to bless our community with charity.

Every homemade item is labeled with an encouraging Bible verse to remind those who are suffering or those who just need encouragement that their hope can rest in God.
